Requirements
For this integration to work you will need to have the Datadog RUM (Real User Monitoring) tag on all the pages of your site.
Implementation
Please go to the section How to request an integration to see the instructions to enable this integration. You can then return here once completed.
In order to use the full integration, please provide your Contentsquare CSM or support team with your DataDog login domain, for example: app.datadoghq.eu or app.datadoghq.com. There are other options also. This will allow you go from the Contentsquare session replay to the relevant DataDog session. See usage instructions below.
If you have already completed the step above then continue below.
Verifying it works
You can use the chrome extension to check the session ID is sent to CS.
Note that it will only send this once per session on the very first pageview, so to test this you will need to delete cookies then reload.

You can then also check that you find the Contentsquare replay link inside Datadog by checking the following places:
- Note that you will only see a replay link for those visitors who were recorded by Contentsquare.
- The % depends on the ratio your account has, you can have that increased by talking to your CSM.
Go to RUM Analytics and filter by whatever you want, let’s say Errors:

After clicking on the relevant error spike that you would like to investigate you will see this:

Click on View events and you should get a list of the events:

Clicking on whichever one is chosen will show you this and then you can click on Go to View:
Inspect whatever you need to inspect there and then click on Go to Session:
Every Session that was recorded should contain this Custom action:
After clicking on it you should find the replay link:
Link from Contentsquare to DataDog
Assuming you have already provided Contentsquare with the DataDog login domain, you can then check if the link from Contentsquare session replays works to DataDog by going to any replay session that was captured after the integration was enabled and do the following in the very first pageview of the session.
Click the 3 dots then Show variables

You will then see this popup. Click the DVAR tab and find the APM_DD_Session Link key which contains a link to DataDog. You can click Copy value and paste into your browser to open it. In the future this URL will be clickable.
This should then take you straight to the same session in DataDog:
